Hip Thrust:  315#      Improved pull up
Romanian DeadLift: 270#  Conventional Deadlift 15#
Run: 1 mile with few breaks

What’s kept you motivated?
Remembering last year when I was so excited to just be able to perform a straight leg raise after injury and then again after surgery, I spent all my free time planning future workouts. Motivation to never let that happen again and to be stronger than I was before my injury.  

What do you like to do outside of the gym?
Read, cook, swim, watch Blazers and Ducks, day trip adventures around the Pacific northwest. 

What’s the greatest fitness challenge you’ve faced so far?
After a patella dislocation, patella ligament tear and major quad weakness/atrophy and surgery last year: squatting, even just box squat.

What’s your biggest fitness accomplishment since you started training?
New PR for hip thrust and Romanian DeadLift and 1RM PR for bench press [all in the same week]!

What’s your favorite movement or exercise?
Romanian Deadlift.

What music do you like to train to?
Hard rock, alternative metal with a little Michael Jackson, Eminem, and of course Taylor Swift in the mix. 

What advice would you give to new gym-goers or yourself?
If you aren’t sure how to use a machine or if you are performing an exercise correctly, don’t be afraid to ask or sign up for training to learn the most that you can and potentially prevent injuries. 

What advice would you give yourself when you first started?
Write down ALL your goals, not just the ones that look good on paper. 

What do you think of your personal trainer here at Boom?
Ryan has been exactly what I was looking for in a trainer. Highly knowledgeable and able to make all the necessary modifications for the exercises I was looking for. I know I wouldn’t have hit my PRs without him!
